For non-beer drinkers, we offer an extensive range of country wines, wines and traditional cider and non-alcoholic drinks. We also sell a variety of traditional snuffs, clay pipes and tobaccos.
Whatever your tipple, you can enjoy the timeless surroundings of our bar, with its uneven flagstone floors, wooden settles and inglenook fire.
To help the pub retain its traditional feel, we do not serve cooked meals in the bar in the evenings. As an alternative, we can provide delicious 'hand-raised' pork pies and platters of bread with English cheeses, or bar nibbles.
We do not have a licence for children under 16 in the bar. However, well behaved children are welcome in the garden at anytime and may sit in the dining room (adjacent to the bar) at lunchtimes. Well-behaved dogs on leads can make themselves at home in the bar or garden and may sample our excellent tap water!
